Supercharge Your Matcha With These Simple Tips!
There are already so many great health benefits of matcha, but what if you wanted to add more, or give your matcha an extra boost? There are several ways to do so - many of which you already have in your own home!
What should I add?
Here are a few of our favorite ideas:
Turmeric - Turmeric is an excellent additive for its anti-inflammatory properties. It's also rich in antioxidants to help aid your digestive health.
Chia Seeds - These tiny seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, iron, and calcium. They are great for adding into matcha with water. Tip- Add chia seeds into your matcha with water, and wait until fully saturated (about 10 minutes) before consuming.
Coconut Oil* - Rich in healthy fat saturated fat to help provide your brain and body with extra fuel and energy. *This drink is best served warm.
Cacao Powder - Who doesn’t want to add some healthy chocolate flavor to their matcha?! Cacao powder is a great source of magnesium, fiber, and extra antioxidants. It’s great for a healthy heart and brain.
Ginger - An excellent additive for its many amazing benefits. Ginger helps with digestion, nausea, sore muscles, and is an anti-inflammatory. Pairing some ginger with our mint matcha is the perfect remedy for an upset tummy!
Orange Juice - Not many people know this, but matcha and orange juice go GREAT together. Orange juice is an excellent source of vitamin C, fiber and helps to give your immune systems that boost it needs. Instead of using water to prepare matcha, just substitute orange juice!
